Mark was called to serve at CCCM in April of 2012. Prior to coming to CCCM, Mark served for over sixteen years in Christian ministry, in both parachurch and local church ministry. Mark graduated from Texas Christian University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. While serving with Young Life for 12 years, Mark earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Seminary. Mark later earned a Master of Divinity from Duke University (summa cum laude) and a doctorate from Fuller Theological seminary.
Mark has a passion for sharing Christ with others, and desires to see the church equipped to fulfill its calling in both the local community and beyond.
Mark is married to Stephanie, an accomplished artist specializing in stone and bronze sculpture that convey powerful spiritual themes. Mark and Stephanie have two children, Becket and Evangeline (Evie).
Mark’s personal interests include playing with his kids, making and eating good food (much to Stephanie’s delight!), playing guitar, fishing, scuba diving, gardening and composing music. Having grown up in Cleveland, Ohio, Mark is, sadly, a diehard Browns and Cavaliers fan.
Jim is our Associate Pastor for Church Growth. Jim is married to Sue and has two married children--Matt and Allison who grew up at CCCM and twin toddler granddaughters. He holds undergrad degrees in Economics and Psychology and a Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Jim has also done post-graduate work at Fuller Seminary.
On a more personal note, Jim was born in New Jersey and enjoys fencing, handball, racketball, skiing and tennis. He is passionate about teaching the Bible and preaching, counseling, outreach into the community, English as a Second Language, and Kid's Club.
Jim's hobbies include cooking, exercising and spending time with his family.
David grew up in Arizona and came to the bay area while serving in the U.S. Navy at Moffett Field. After the service he began a 23 year high tech career with Northern Telecom primarily in engineering and management. David joined the staff at CCCM in June 2002.
David is blessed with leadership, organizational and administrative gifts that he uses in his passion for church organizational effectiveness and staff leadership. His life verse comes from 1 Timothy 3 "If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach..."
David is married to Jackie and has two sons, John and Chris and a daughter, Kimberly along with three grandchildren. David enjoys watching and playing sports - baseball, softball, football, volleyball, basketball and golf to name a few!
Born in Merced, California, Kim comes from a family of five children. Kim will tell you that she is married to a very handsome man who is a dentist and they have two very cute sons in their early 30's who have recently married.
Kim has been in Youth Ministry for 25 years and enjoys every minute of it. She loves hanging out with Jr. High and High Schoolers and hearing about their lives- both their joys and challenges. Laughing and sitting out in the sun talking to youth is what I look forward to every day.
Kim is passionate about teaching the Bible so that the youth can understand how the Word of God applies to their life.
Kim rides a 650 BMW motorcycle and loves dirt biking.
Pastor of Family Discipleship
Johnson grew up in San Francisco and received his call to ministry in high school. He has served in pastoral ministry for 30 years in various pastoral roles, as a church planter, and church consultant. He is a graduate of Talbot Seminary (M.Div.) and Western Seminary (D.Min.) and is a lifelong learner and follower of Jesus. He attests to the Lord’s faithful promise, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). He also serves as the Asian Servant-Director of The Leadership Connection, a ministry to support and encourage pastors.
Johnson is married to his high school sweetheart, Andrea and they have three grown daughters: Christal, Summer and Lauren, all whom serve the Lord in their unique ways.
Johnson enjoys hiking, basketball, taking Andrea to new restaurants and rooting for the SF Giants and the Golden State Warriors.
Alma is married to Lindon Richards and they have two daughters. She was trained as an elementary school teacher and taught high school for 13 years in Jamaica and the Bahamas. She also has a degree in Child and Adolescent Development.
Alma's passion is for people to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior and loves sharing Christ with both children and adults. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
Life Groups Director
Lenny was born and raised in the Bay Area. She and Don married in 1979, moved to the Santa Clara Valley and have never left. Don, Lenny and their children, Scott and Anna, began attending CCCM in 1998.
A teacher by profession, Lenny taught in the Hayward public schools, homeschooled her own children through high school, then taught high school Math, Science and Worldview courses before joining the CCCM staff in 2012.
When she is not supporting life groups or sharing the vision with those not yet in a life group, you'll find Lenny trying a new recipe, curled up with a book, camping in the mountains or SCUBA diving in Hawaii with Don.
Young Adult Discipleship Director
Tyler is a Bay Area native. He graduated from Biola University with a degree in Biblical and Theological studies. He spent 11 years serving in youth ministry prior to coming to CCCM. He is currently working on getting his Masters of Divinity at Western Seminary. Tyler’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 4:1, “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”
Tyler and his beautiful wife met on a mission trip to Mexico. They have been married since 2013. Tyler is a life a long Golden State Warriors fan and watches every single game, win or lose. You can often find Tyler at his favorite restaurant Chipotle.
Todd is married to the very talented and beautiful Renee who works with the Children Ministry team. They have been blessed with 8 children (5 are adults and the three youngest being adopted from Haiti. Noah, one of those children passed away during the adoption process) and a grandson and granddaughter. He loves being a Grampy! He grew up in this church, having attended here since 1970 and has been on staff as the Director of Worship Ministries since 2000. Todd attended Azusa Pacific University studying music and youth leadership.
Todd's passion is to draw closer to God every day.
Todd loves how God uses the Worship Ministries family to bring new and talented people to our church, giving them an opportunity to glorify God with their talent. There is a motto used in Worship Ministry: "We are more than the Arts, we are family."
He and Renee have been called by some as the Chip and Joanna Gaines of Milpitas. They both know they are far from that status, but they have been known to have their way with lumber and they love repurposing furniture. He loves plain fudge and welcomes care packages anytime!
Mark was the first of three brothers born into a family that moved regularly. He lived in many places throughout the midwest and northwest and has now lived in or visited 48 states plus several other countries.
Mark settled in the Bay Area after graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering because this is the high tech capital of the world. Mark found the rest of the world had settled here with him. Having friends from everywhere around the world and learning about each other's experiences has been wonderful.
Vocationally Mark has worked with start-ups, small business and large corporations in both technical and executive management. In addition, Mark has been deeply involved in church life in virtually every capacity imaginable. Now he is "living his dream" as the Business Manager at Christ Community Church.
Finance & Operations Director
Sue was born and raised in California. Sue is married to Don and they have two grown children and two grandchildren. She has worked in the Finance area for over 20 years and has written articles and taught workshops in the area of non-profit finance.
Sue commutes 150 miles round trip to serve here at CCCM.
She loves spending time with her grandchildren and leading a midweek women's study.
Dave was born in Missouri and raised in Califonia. He moved to San Jose and married in March of 1970. He and his wife Annette have four children and six grand children.
Dave began attending CCCM in 1989. Dave feels blessed to have been apart of this church for over 25 years. Dave has a background in Mechanics and Management.
