Who We Are
Each part of the Bay Area seems to have its own localized flavor. Perhaps more than any other feature, what makes the Milpitas area special is its incredible diversity. It's literally composed of people from all over the world. And so is Christ Community Church. The book of Revelation tells us that one day God will assemble His people from "every tribe and language and people and nation" (Rev 5:9). We like to think that our church is a small reflection of that beautiful tapestry that God will one day weave from all nations. We see our unified diversity as a church both as a blessing and a calling. Together we offer living testimony to how very different people can love one another. And together we more effectively proclaim the love of God to a very diverse area. For over 50 years Christ Community Church has been strongly committed to Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, and Jesus' mission to proclaim God's love to all people. That's who we are.
We are disciple-makers reaching out to the entire community for Christ.
We are a Christ-centered, Biblically based, Spirit-led congregation.
All people matter to God and are welcomed into our life-changing community.
We unapologetically put kids first, equipping them as ministry partners.
Our worship of God is lived out in joyful service to our community and the world.
We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
There is one God and Father of all who created the universe and all that is in it. --Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19
Son, Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is of one being with Father and through Him all things were created. With the Father, He is worshipped and glorified. Jesus lived a sinless life carrying our humanity and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world by dying on a cross, reconciling us with the Father. He arose from the dead after three days, victorious over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven, rules at the right hand of the Father, and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. -- Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:23
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who with the Father and Son is God. The Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also dwells in everyone who calls on Jesus for their salvation. He provides those who follow Jesus with the power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts. As Christians we seek to live under the Spirit's control daily. -- John 16:7-13, Acts 1:8
The Bible is God’s divine Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the unique source of God's truth and our only reliable guide to life and salvation. The Bible is inspired by God and without error. -- Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:16
People are made in the image of God and are deeply loved by God. Every person has tremendous potential for good. However all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin,” which separates us from God. -- Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ by faith. -- John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8
Our Partner Churches
We serve together with other churches in a mission called A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO).
